Not a budget option — good Robusta, like Idukki Robusta, is a different, richer cup. Grown at high elevations under shade alongside pepper and spices, it carries a protected GI (Geographical Indication) tag and commands pride of place.
Nestled along the verdant ridges of Kerala's Western Ghats, Idukki's coffee farms thrive within a polyculture ecosystem. Here, Arabica and Robusta shrubs flourish beneath dense canopy trees alongside cardamom pods, black pepper vines, and arecanut palms.
This distinctive shade-grown microclimate allows coffee cherries to ripen slowly, absorbing rich volcanic minerality and organic spice notes that you won't find anywhere else on earth.
